Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently getting my associate's degree in mathematics at Napa Valley College. I've also had two tutoring jobs where I was trained on how to work with students and cater to their needs. I've had a lot of experience tutoring and am able to help a variety of students.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was in high school, I joined a math club where we would often tutor students who came in for help. I helped many students, and tutoring became something that I was very passionate about. When I started college, I got hired by the math center as a tutor and have been helping students ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've had the most experience working with older students (high school - college), taking many levels of math from Algebra 1, Math 1, all the way through Calculus 2.
