About this tutor

I am excited to announce that I've been named Best of Tutors.com in 2018, an honor given to less than 6% of tutors.

I am a college student with a passion for helping others love  learning, even in difficult subjects!

I spent this summer teaching English. I am a BioChemistry major with a Business minor, with 9+ years in classical music training and an interest in STEM, English, history, and social studies.

I have a great deal of experience and success with AP tests, SAT/ACT tests, as well as scholarship and college applications.

I hired Kate to be my 13-year-old daughters Algebra 1 tutor, Kate had a wonderful way of helping my daughter without making her feel dumb which in my opinion is a very difficult job! She was accommodating with times and Very good at communicating with me what areas my daughter was proficient and the areas that still needed some work. I highly recommend Kate.

Kate really connected with our 13 year old grandaughter...and the result was a good grade on the final math exam

I’m writing this as a review on Kate Wegener. She was my tutor for biology during last year and her teaching style is something i really understood. i’m a visual learner and she did what it took to help me understand the topic and would stay with me on it until I could comprehend it. Because of her I was able to pass the class and understand things I couldn’t before. thank you so much for taking the time to read this I appreciate it!

I just wanted to write quick note to say how great she was with my son, Jay. Jay is autistic as well as Dyslexic. He has a lot of attention issues and reading is definitely a non-preferred activity. Not only was Kate engaging and fun, but she also worked diligently to help get him started with his sight words and forming sentences. She was able to keep him interested by being patient and using his interests to bring him back when he would get distracted. Overall, we loved our time with Kate and would recommend her for other families. Thank you!
