I am Sherin Sara Thomas. I have completed my Electrical and Electronics Engineering (passed with First Class).

I love taking up any opportunity to work with young children. I started tutoring from my school days. I believe a good teacher can make learning a good experience.I have worked with children in all capacity. I had the opportunity to work as Higher Level Teaching Assistant across the Maths and Science Department(academic year 2013-14) at The King's College, Guildford, UK.

I have also worked as a life skill trainer for a period of 2 years delivering a Leadership Training program for School students.

I worked at Growing Stars Inc as a Maths Consultant for grades 1-7 for two years (with over 33 sessions /week across ET, CT, and PT).

Methodology adopted: Differentiated Learning - tailoring instructions and using strategies to support students of all learning styles(VARK model).

Platform Used : Scribblar Online Board (no personal information divulged as the link sent to the student gives direct access to the classroom)

Skype/Whatsapp/ Zoom as medium to give instructions.

I once heard, if a student likes a teacher, he naturally tends to develop a liking to the subject too.

A teacher to me can transform the way a child perceives the new knowledge/skill that a child is expected to acquire.

An empathetic teacher can not just make learning fun but also meaningful. What then ensues is student ready for a life-long learning not limited by the boundaries set by the ever-changing education system.

I look forward to make that difference. To me teaching(rather the role of a mentor/guide) is my life's calling and every child an opportunity to a better tomorrow, an agent of change.
