Jessica Bicakci's Tutoring Services
About
I’m a passionate and dedicated educator with close to a decade of experience teaching and tutoring students who have varying needs, including those who are neurotypical and neurodiverse. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from University of Redlands and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Chapman University. Due to my diverse teaching experience, I can provide tools and resources to help my clients and students develop personalized learning strategies.
The teaching methods I use to assist students in achieving academic success are based on empathy, patience, and careful attention to detail. I also use my creativity to engage with my students, making my sessions fun and meaningful learning experiences. However, I understand the academic difficulties that my students face as I struggled with my learning challenges since preschool. I was later diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) in my college years. My experiences as a student led me to embrace and accept my learning differences. My mission is to inspire my students to discover their inner strengths and compensate for their challenges.
When I’m not teaching or tutoring, I love spending time with my family and exploring the beautiful Orange County area, where I was born and raised. I also enjoy listening to music, reading, and writing stories.
