Kei S. says, "Great tutor who is very patient and helpful. Adapts to my needs. There's a little "curse of knowledge" going on--ie, the assumption that I know more than I really do---but we work together to overcome that. Additionally, my tutor suggested some behavioral habits and minor diet changes that actually worked for me. I will be working with my tutor, Fred, again!" Read more

I graduated at the top of my class from Harvard College and Yale Law School. While at Harvard, I tutored students with and without special needs in math and other subjects. I have been a practicing lawyer for about 25 years, and one of my main clients – – a Wall Street investment banker type – – hires me primarily to polish and edit his reports. I also have three children ranging from elementary school to high school, so I am quite familiar with how important it is to make learning fun and simplify /draw analogies to concepts that the student already understands. I enjoy figuring out each student’s particular learning style and coming up wit

Natasha Y. says, "I have been aware of Victor's unique ability to encourage and motivate long before I knew he offered academic coaching services. So it was absolutely a no-brainer for me to choose Victor when I decided to apply to graduate school. Through my sessions, assignments and accountability to new habits that would best serve my goals, I gained increasing clarity and confidence in my abilities. But with Victor, there was a sense of more at stake than my immediate academic goal. He had his eye trained on an even larger vision for my overall success. To say that our coaching work together continues to be life-changing would not be an understatement. I am proud to announce that my application to my ideal program was a success. What is disability in special education?

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) identifies 13 disability categories where special education should be provided.

I had no idea students can be taught how to take and do better on standardized tests. After working with Victor, my daughter steadily improved her test scores. He taught her more than just what she needed to know for the test. He helped her build self-confidence, stay calm during the test, and think positively. In addition, he made himself available many times and never nickled and dimed us. Yes, you can find an affordable tutor like him who does an amazing job with your student.
