About
I am a senior in high school and have an affinity for mathematics. I love tutoring students, especially middle school, which I have done since I started high school. Primarily, I tutor Pre-Algebra and love it! Before Corona Virus, I would meet students at their nearby public library, but since March I have tutored through zoom and Microsoft Teams, which is a great resource.
I enjoy seeing my students thrive. When I look over their homework and I see a student master a concept that I have given them, it makes everything worth it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process for working with a new student is to get a feel for what they are learning in school, and what their personal level is. Having a student explain to me what they already understand about subjects they are already learning will help me meet them halfway. I want to help students master all concepts that will come their way in Pre-Algebra.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a senior in high school and have completed all levels of mathematics leading up to Calculus. I have been tutoring students for the past 3 1/2 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing is $20 per hour per live meeting. Before meetings, I will also look over any work I have given a student and their homework, and that will not include any charge.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching in 9th grade. Pre-Algebra became the foundation for success in high school and because I was able to master it, I was way ahead of other students in my math class. My Algebra teacher asked if I would help tutor some of her students in Pre-Algebra concepts and I really loved it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students primarily between the ages of 12 - 16.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Some advice I would give a student looking to hire a tutor is that the tutor can be flexible, look over homework outside of meeting times. And to find a person that is really down to Earth and does not get frustrated.
