I am about to start college to become a high school math and English teacher. I can tutor for different levels of math and English, including standardized testing preparation.
I love helping people. Helping people learn and understand things is the best way I can do that. I love interacting with people and learning from them.
She helped me out with AP Eng test prep last year and it quite frankly boosted my understanding. It was super useful and she was very patient with my learning progress. I ended up getting a 5 on the AP test, so all the hard work paid off!!
I usually look at whatever their assignment is and work through it with them, trying to give them tools to be able to do it on their own and continue improving. After working through things once I give them a similar question and ask them to work through it on their own, and then I help them with the troubling areas. I continue doing that until they are confident with the subject.
I taught a weekly class in conversational Hebrew for a school year and I've been a teachers assistant at my synagogue's Sunday school for 3 years. In high school I tutored some of my friends who were struggling. I tutored some other people in my community.
$17 per hour but I'm flexible.
Elementary, middle and high schoolers.
Find out how you learn best and don't be afraid to tell a teacher what you're looking for. Be vocal about what works and what doesn't.
What methods of learning, studying and note taking work for them? What are their academic strengths and weaknesses?
