Reno Tutoring

Currently a Doctoral student at Concordia University, Irvine. My dissertation is based on alternative teaching and assessment methods for students and incorporating the needs of individual students into classrooms to increase student mastery. Students are facing difficult times in education and it is time for them to receive assistance in a way that is more focused on their specific needs.

I have a Master's of Education in Math Curriculum and Instruction. I have a bachelor's in math. I have a math and science credential. Currently, I work as a high school and middle school teacher in Riverside, CA.

I provide tutoring for more than just math. I tutor science and for college entrance exams: ACT and SAT.

Current courses of focus are from two tracks:

Track 1: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus

Track 2: Math 7, Math 8, Integrated Math 1, Integrated Math 2, Integrated Math 3

All honors or Accelerates Integrated Math courses, Calculus/ AP Calculus, Statistics/AP Statistics

One of the things I enjoy most about the work I do is helping the student reach their AHA moment when all the material clicks. This is so rewarding to the student and myself as an educator.

I like to help the student use his or her interests in the subject they are receiving help because the student finds the help more relevant and important when their is a connection to their personal life.
