I strive to make the sessions I teach interesting and a unique experience for my students, where I emphasize on your deep understanding of the material. As part of I’d like to benefit my students with as much as possible, and I welcome any resource or suggestions from students or parents. I am easy to reach and always try to provide fast responses. I graduated from UCLA with a Ph.D. in civil engineering with an emphasis of research in soil behavior under earthquake conditions.
I'm an experienced math and English (including IELTS and TOEFL) tutor and. I cover most math topics from pre-Algebra to higher level college amth, Calculus, and Statistics. Tutoring is incredibly rewarding to me and I like to help my students improve their grades and confidence and to master the subjects they are working on.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to first understand what the student really needs help/assistance with before I start anything. This critical plasnning helps achieving the best outcome, both for the students, and myself as the tutor. I then start teaching the studnet. I strive to make the course interesting and a unique experience for my students, where I emphasize on deep understanding of the material. I’d like to benefit my students with as much as possible, and I welcome any resource or suggestions from students or parents.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As an engineer, I have dealt with mathematics on a daily basis during my professional life and continue to do so. All courses I have taught in a college level have mathematics embedded as a foundation. Additionally, I have tutored several students on these subjects, and have received numerous excellent feedback from students and/or their parents. I have also tutored several international students on IELTS and TOEFL and they have got the scores they were aiming for.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge hourly with a rate between $ 60-75, depending on the distance of travek, and the subject to be taught. This is more or less negotiable based on the number of hours/lessons that the students is seeking.
How did you get started teaching?
I have tutored since I was in college, especially in mathematics (all subjects). During my graduate studies, I started teaching international students for IELTS, TOEFL, and the GRE exams. My skillset is well equipped for Writing, listening, and speaking sections of the tests.
What types of students have you worked with?
A broad range! From elementary and middle school stidents, to high school and college level studnets, as well as adult professionals.

Don't only choose a tutor based on a low price, but look for quality!
