About
We customize our teaching approach to each individual student. We specialize in students that have learning differences or are under achieving in their classes. We also have a significant amount of experience working with gifted and high achieving students.
All of our tutors have undergone training on SAT and ACT standardized exams. They are taught a number of very useful strategies for approaching problems. We can also help with the SAT subject exams: Math level 1 and level 2, Literature. We are also ready to help students with the ISEE and SSAT exams as well.
We are passionate about education. The process of assessing our students and creating an individualized learning plan is challenging and rewarding.
We love teaching because it is very fulfilling to see our students raise their grades, gain entrance into the schools of their choice, and build self confidence in the process.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will meet with the new student and go through an assignment with him or her. I will do an informal assessment of the student while we are working. After the first session, I will have an idea of their present levels of performance.
We can discuss creating a learning plan and how many sessions per week might be needed.
The parents are always encouraged to give input in this process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree in Education. I have trained with several reputable test preparation companies in Los Angeles. Also, I went through an intensive training at Lindamood Bell for teaching reading, writing, and basic Math to students with learning differences.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a sliding scale. I charge $100 an hour for a full paying client. Depending on my client's ability to pay, I can adjust the price of the sessions.
