Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. Discuss goals for the day/week with both student and family
2. Work one-on-one with the student to create a plan of attack for accomplishing goals (i.e. order of assignments to complete, time it will take to complete assignments) that they are comfortable with
3. Consistently communicate with the student on areas they feel like they need assistance or can work independently
4. Check student's work (if desired by parents) and check in with parents on their child's progress towards the goals for that period.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Training through Respite-care-providing companies on how to communicate goals and work towards goals, especially in children with special needs.
