Passionate about communication and obsessive about consistentcy in grammer, punctuation, spelling and style, all learned right from the Associated Press Stylebook. I was a sports stringer for AP 2002-2002, for MotoGP and World Superbike and learned from the best. My work on motorcycle racing has been in magazines and newspapers all over the world.
Before AP, I was with Reuters for two years, also as a stringer.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Journalism degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Ten years as a stringer for AP, two years as a stringer for Reuters plus articles in magazines around the world. I own over 2,000 books!

I've always been interested in helping others improve, I enjoy teaching others new skills.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Running the media center for a USA Superbike championship race and getting letters from the media after the race saying how I was the most helpful and cooperative press officer they'd ever dealt with.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your tutor has been published and is well-read.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How can I improve my writing? Where would I get the best examples of good writing? How can I turn my passion for X into a paying career by writing about my passions?
