I currently work at an elementary school with Resource children. I work with these children one on one or in small groups on assignments that their teacher has given them. I love my job and want to help more children alike, thus creating this tutoring account.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My typical process is getting to know this child first. Finding out what they like what they do not like, what triggers them, ways I can incentivize them to complete difficult tasks that may be overwhelming.
A lot of the children I work with love coloring. So a way to make their learning more fun, I find things such as math coloring sheets, word searches, crossword puzzles and etc. Activities that are fun can also be educational.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my associates degree in liberal studies for elementary education and am still in school. I also work part time at an elementary school as an Instructional Assistant.

My pricing varies on how much time is put into each lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started by applying to be an Instructional Assistant. The longer I have worked at the elementary school level, the more I love it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. From kindergarten to sixth grade, from above grade level to severly below their grade level. No child is treated different because we all have things that we need to work on.
