About
I am a thoughtful and patient educator and tutor focused on elementary and middle school students. My compassion for each student's developmental and educational needs is balanced with a result driven curriculum. I spend extra time with parents and family members to ensure that each student has the support outside of my efforts to be successful. Organization and study skills are adapted based on each student's individual learning styles.
It is very rewarding to work with each individual student, identifying their strengths to develop specific learning strategies to help grow their skills and confidence.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To help your student I start by meeting with you, family, care-giviers and teachers to understand your students strengths and where help is needed. This can be done in person, or virtually. Based on this input, I develop a custom learning plan which we review together. The plan includes regular check-ins and feedback opportunities to make sure your student is progressing and learning.
Tutoring sessions are typically 50 minutes at least once a week. This can vary based on the student’s learning style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor of arts from Syracuse University, and a teaching credential degree from Notre Dame de Namur University. I have over ten years of teaching and tutoring experience with kindergarten through 8th grade students.
