Teaching is a hobby of mine, it is something I enjoy to do and I grew up in because my parents, grandparents and most of my family members are teachers. I went to school in US Naval Academy as a Math Major. I won Best in Math both high school and college. I learned different techniques in terms of Math when I was growing up in the Philippines and here in the US.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I used a lot of tutoring online before.
First, I will ask what the question is
Then, I will look over the problem and ask what does the student think on how to attack the problem.
Ill offer some suggestions if the student is approaching the wrong path or give an advice if there is an easier way of solving the problem because usually math has its own trick to make everything easier.
Finally, at this point, we should have the problem solved and Ill ask if he or she has any more questions?
