Chemistry, Math, ESL And History Tutoring
About
I tutor in chemistry, math, history and ESL, and have worked with students at the grade school, high school and college levels. I began tutoring three years ago.
My students have told me that my strengths are that I am very, very patient, and am able to offer various, creative ways of addressing a problem.
Also, my students have done well. One of them improved her grade from a "D" to a "B+" in a few months. Another one achieved the one of the highest grades in her class.
My schedule is very flexible and I can add time before a test, or if the homework load it heavy.
I hope to hear from you! You can contact me at 408 826 2928.’
Tutoring is not a job for me; I truly enjoy it. It gives me a chance to give back some of the good fortune I have benefited from in my life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I feel that it is my job to enhance a student's confidence. If a person is confident in what he or she does, that person is more likely to enjoy it. And, if they enjoy it, they are more likely to excel in it.
As such, I rarely solve a problem for a student. Rather, I guide him or her, through a series of questions, to solve the question themselves. Another approach of mine is to solve a problem similar, but not exactly the same, to the one at hand. Then, the student can use the knowledge gained from that exercise to complete the original problem.
