I've had 2+ years of experience tutoring students online from all over the world. My goal is to tailor my tutoring style according to each individual student so that they can truly benefit from a one on one personal tutoring experience. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I use the first session to understand the student's syllabus structure, foundational knowledge as well as their personal goals and then sketch out a lesson plan accordingly. The lessons are supplemented with additional reference material as well as personalised assignments and quizzes. My goal always is to understand the student's needs and provide a service that works with their individual pace thus offering the true advantage of a one on one private tutoring experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bechalor of Science degree with a triple major in Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics. I have taught professionally for competitive exams like SAT, GRE and IIT-JEE and have taken on private tutoring since 2020.

I charge between $50- $100 per hour depending on the subject matter as well as the number of sessions booked per week for advanced classes and $35 per hour for preliminary courses.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
In a subject like mathematics, look for a teacher who has a well-rounded approach towards the subject instead of someone who solely cares about improving your grades. Building a strong foundation in maths is very important.
