About

Hi, my name is Erica and I love kids as well as helping others. I plan to go into social work in the future and I just need to get through college first now that highschool is finished. I've always been an honors student who helped other kids be able to pass their classes and I'd love to help more kids do well in school.

I love kids and helping people. My life's goal is to help as many people as I can. I need the work to be able to afford my tuition to SRJC, but the money is not my main driving force. I only ask for any payment so I'll be able to even more people in the future. Education is priceless to me (or at least negotiable haha) so I'd love to help your child succeed to the best of their abilities.

Frequently asked questions

I like to start by getting to know them then getting to know what level they are at and what level they are looking to be at. Getting to see past homework is really helpful with this.

I've taken many honors math classes since middle school and helped many other students pass the same and other classes along the way. I also babysit my cousin's kids from time to time so I've had experience taking care of small children too.

I generally ask for $20/hour. I feel this is fair as it's a little more than minimum wage but I am happy to negotiate prices. I'm also hapoy to help with small things outside of tutoring like making simple meals/snacks or playing games. Some kids could really use breaks and I have no problem making sure they're safe and happy during those times.

I started helping other kids in math back in elementary school. There was a girl in my class named Mackenzie who struggled so I worked with her in class. By middle school I had a group of kids in my math classes who would come to me asking for an explanation or help working through a problem regularly. In highschool I began to offer free math help sessions to other kids in my grade and below. I love helping others, and how can you not feel joy when seeing someone pass something they've been working hard at.
