I have been a teacher for 11 years and I love to teach elementary aged students grades pre k to 3rd grade. I enjoy creating hands on and engaging activities to help motivate and inspire learning. I am a certified Elementary Education teacher with a Reading and Early Childhood endorsment. I am certified in Orton Gillingham, Guided Reading, and Zoo Phonics. I would love to help support your learner on their path in education.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically meet with students to determine their knowledge and then have a discussion with the student and parent to determine expectations. If I'm able I also like to reach out to the teacher to get his/her advice as well. The next appointment will then bring lessons and activities geared towards learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors in elementary education, 11 years teaching kindergarten, a professional teaching license with an endorsement in reading and early childhood education. I am trained in orton gillingham as well as MLPP, BAS, and guided reading.
