Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The new student should send me an email requesting services in a particular area e.g. business statistics or applied mathematics or electrical engineering etc. He should indicate the hours he has available and what college does he go to.
After I have reviewed his request, I will send him an email, asking him to come to ZOOM. There in face to face conversation, we will create a schedule for teaching and tutoring. Also in the same meeting compensation and types of payments will be discussed.
If the student is out of state (California) then advance payment will be required. It can be deposited directly into my account.
With the payment received, teaching and tutoring will commence and monthly Excel Sheet will be emailed for accounting purposes. It will contain billable hours and hour by hour breakdown of subject matter.
The first lesson would be about hs goal in the course, and his books and time available. If he has a text book, which I do not have, then that text book will be rented for the duration of the course.
It is normally a very smooth process and takes place in a very friendly environment.
