What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First impressions are so important!
That's why we insist on having an introductory call with your tutor before your child's first session. During this call, you will get to know your tutor better and learn what you can expect from them and also what they expect from you.
One of the things we request is a previous or current assignment to help the tutor prepare for your child's first lesson. You can expect that your child will be getting to work straight away from the first lesson which will be followed by a plan for success based on the tutors recommendation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In highschool, I recieved high marks in mathematics which lead me to pursue a math heavy degree in college, Computer Science. From there, I have continued to practice math on the side and am constantly researching different topics related to the area. My love for tutoring comes from my past experience tutoring friends and family and I have now been tutoring professionally for 2 years. All tutors that I hire are checked for mathematical comprehension and teaching ability and trained by me.
