My decades of service since 1973 in community relations, new arrival services, youth development have enriched me beyond words. I continue to conduct multiethnic and multicultural workshops.
After four decades, former students have been gainfully employed, raised families, are neighbors in my community. Scores of success stories of Asian new arrivals establish ing residency, entering the local labor market, and making significant contributions to the social, economic, and civic fabric of the region.

Through an introduction conversation, I will assess language proficiency, hear one’s subjects liked, less liked, successes and self declared areas to improve and why. Request a writing sample about them, their family, a recent trip, a favorite food, and what they like to do for pleasure. Establish goals for tutoring and outline a plan. Sessions would integrate them bringing in a personal artifact with a story to be reflected on through writing, art, and other creative formats.
