I am a bilingual, credentialed, National Board-certified, experienced teacher now working as a private tutor. I primarily help students improve their reading fluency, comprehension, math, and Spanish skills. I have had many years’ success diagnosing students’ learning gaps and efficiently using time to help them rapidly improve. I am adept at motivating students to try harder and see the connection between their effort/attitude and their achievement.

As a tutor, I try to give curriculum materials that support the child's needs, but also help them to advance in school by aligning to the school's challenging material or supporting the level of struggle that some grade levels carry in Common Core subjects. I tutor to support students in the long-term growth, not for short-term learning . I work to help students see progress in all their hard work practiced & expressed over time.
