Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to perform a quick analysis to see if I can identify any holes in the student’s foundation. Usual issues are with integer operations, simplifying fractions, solving equations, and number sense. Once these areas of help are determined, I can work on these areas simultaneously with the area of study that the student is currently working on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in Aviation/Engineering/Business. I hold a Masters Degree in Education, and Credentialed in Business and Mathematics. I've been employed as a Math teacher for over 20 years.
