My service stands out because I focus extremely closely on comprehension. When I teach, I make sure I approach the concepts at every angle, which allows a full understanding from the students. I am a firm believer in intuitive problem solving. Students should not just recognize a problem and know that a certain formula should be used. I aim to teach how the formula was derived, how to use it, and why it works.
I have no formal paid teaching experience, but I definitely do have a tutoring background. I have privately tutored people varying from my siblings to family friends to fellow students. Actually, growing up, my school teachers would request for me personally to form groups of students who were behind on the material and catch the students up to the current material. Through all these experiences, I have received nothing but good feedback.
I believe I would be a perfect tutor, because I am dedicated to improve student understanding, and I am very patient with the teaching process.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to get to know the student as much as possible. I know that different school teachers teach different topics in a specific subject, and I know teachers use different methods and notations, so I must learn and account for that. After this, I take time to listen to the student and understand the problem. With all this in mind, I can plan out how to best approach the teaching process. I really like to use analogies and examples, because I find that relatable ideas are easier to understand. Once I have finished teaching, I ask further questions to sort of test and reinforce the student's understanding. This makes sure there is absolute comprehension without missing gaps or holes.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching, because I enjoy supplying knowledge, anywhere from teaching whole concepts to sharing random interesting facts about the world. From this passion, I decided to take up teaching professionally.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mostly worked with students my own age recently, but not too long ago, I was well versed in tutoring young children. My most formal experience was as a private home visiting tutor.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
What I find helpful when looking for a teacher or tutor is to find someone who has understanding past what I am looking for. For example, I had a physics teacher who not only firmly understood the teachings of the class but was deeply knowledgeable of physics as a whole. This gives the student a wide opportunity to explore more than a single concept, and it allows the teacher to teach with full confidence.
