Limbach Social Studies Tutoring
About
I graudated in the top 15% of my college class because I have devoted my life to academic excellence. When my students work with me, they aren't simply learning the subject matter for their classes; they are learning strategies that will help them succeed in all their future academic endevors.
I have over 4 years of tutoring experience in ESL, history, public speaking, philosophy and political science. I've tutored students at the middle school, high school, and college level.
For the 2019-2020 school year, I was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach ESL at a German high school in Munich. The Fulbright program is highly cometative, prestigious and expects only the highest of its English teachers. I formed excellent relationships with my students, many of whom got into top English-speaking universities across Europe. I became excellent friends with my fellow teachers, many of whom I'd be happy to give you as a reference.
I competed with the Bates College debate team, one of the top 50 teams in the world, for four years. I regularly attended some of the most compative debate tournments in the world, including those at Oxford, Cambridge, Yale and the World Championships.
I scored a perfect 5 on both the US History and Modern European History AP tests, so I'm well versed in history at the high school level.
All of these achievements were only made possible by my understanding of academic life, an understanding that I can teach to you or your children as well.
