Katherine Hamilton Tutoring
About
My Tutoring Philosophy:
I teach through positive reinforcement. If I could, I’d have those words underlined and bolded. I’ve found this to be the most effective way to build a student’s confidence and even help them find joy in learning. Too often, students who struggle academically attribute lack of success to a lack of self worth. I teach that when we study, we aim not to be perfect, but to be better and more prepared than we were yesterday.
I love working with kids! I have over 6 years of experience working with kids from pre-school to middle school with the City of Mountain View, leading after-school and summer programs. The best part about helping students academically is watching their confidence grow, not only in their school work, but in themselves.
