Hi! I'm Christine, a UC San Diego Mathematics-Computer Science graduate. I enjoy helping students understand why something works instead of simply showing them the answer. I believe learning is much less frustrating when concepts are explained in a way that actually makes sense. I've worked with mathematics, statistics, programming, and AI throughout college and in my internships, and I enjoy breaking down difficult topics into smaller, manageable pieces. I am a current student at De Anza College, working toward transferring to the University of California. As someone actively learning and studying, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a clear and relatable way. I got my PhD degree in Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara in 2008. After that, I became a faculty member at a top university in China and worked there for 7 years. In 2015, I moved back to the US with my family. I am very interested in teaching and I am also very good at it. I am professional (especially in microeconomics and game theory). I am very patient. If you need a tutor, I am your best choice. I started tutoring and teaching when I was a graduate student in my PhD program 18 years ago. Hello everyone! I am currently a sophomore attending Baylor University for biology and on the premed track. I have experience working in daycare and tutoring math and science courses for a variety of levels from pre-k to college level courses. In order to improve skills that are required for med school, I will be prepared for every tutor session with assessment tests, understanding quizzes, and homework questions. I will keep the sessions compact and fruitful. I will work hard to keep the individual interested and open to understanding the art of education in a new way.
