My name is Abiyah Parris, a recent graduate fron the University of California, Riverside with a Business Administration degree. I have an immense passion for children/teens and I aim to mentor my students to educational heights. Fostering progressive relationships in my tutoring sessions I hope to empower and inspire them to achieve a higher education.
It is my mission to help students conquer their educational challenges. Through routine practice, interactive/fun memory enhancing tools, and through a positive motivational push I believe that it is possible to achieve educational success. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When meeting a new student I believe best for the child/teen to express their struggles in a subject. After getting an idea of the challenges at hand, I like to try to different methods of teaching to understand what works best. In addition, I believe its beneficial to reward the student for positive progress.
