Technical Writing And Editing

I have three years of experience as a writing tutor for the College of Engineering and College of Liberal Arts at California State University, Long Beach. I have a master's degree in psychological research, and two bachelor's degrees--one in philosophy, and the other in psychology. I have worked as a mentor in academic settings for seven years, and care a lot about nurturing the growth of all of my students.

I will help you learn how to write more clearly, regardless of your level of writing experience or familiarity with the English language. My goal is to help you express yourself and find your voice as a writer. I understand that learning how to write isn't always fun, but hope to help make the experience enjoyable by teaching you how to write about topics that interest you so that you can apply your skills in school, work, and every other context that involves writing.

I can help you develop ideas, edit rough drafts, and prepare final drafts. I can also help you learn how to write essays and creating outlines for your ideas. I am flexible and will meet you wherever you are.

I also genuinely love to write; I write often and in a variety of styles, and feel most connected to my life's purpose whenever I am writing. My passion for writing is what makes writing tutoring such a pleasure. I bring my passion into tutoring and hope to help my students develop their own passion for writing.
