Pro English Tutor provides you with a direct-line to two amazing and inspiring professional teachers, who have taught every level of English from middle school to college.
We will provide helpful feedback with two main goals in mind: to (1) help you become a better writer and (2) help you improve your grade on a given assignment.
Pro English Tutor features two professional, U.C.I.-trained teachers. Robert DeFrance, M.A., B.A., is a professor and a certified online teacher. Robert is currently an English professor at Long Beach City College and has taught college English for 15 years. Robert has been a tutor for 17 years and is the former Director of the online portion of the LARC Writing Center at U.C.I. DeFrance has an M.A. in rhetoric and composition and a B.A. in English. DeFrance is an award-winning teacher, a presenter, and author. Jennifer Naumann, M.A. (in progress), B.A., is getting her Master's degree in Educational Technology. Jennifer has been a teacher for 16 years. Jennifer is a presenter and author.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The process for all students is the same. All students are encouraged to include their name and submit two documents:
(1) Your draft/paper
(2) Your assignment
If no due date appears on the assignment, please provide a due date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Robert S. DeFrance
Robert has a B.A. in English and an M.A. in rhetoric and composition. DeFrance has been an English professor for 15 years. Robert has been an English tutor for 17 years. Robert is a fellow from the UCI Writing Project, a special teacher-training program.
Jennifer Naumann
Jennifer has a B.A. in English and is working on a master's degree in educational technology. Jennifer has been a teacher for 16 years. Jennifer is also a fellow from the UCI Writing Project.

How did you get started teaching?
Jennifer and Robert DeFrance, the founders of Pro English Tutor, both started teaching in the Norwalk area in Southern California, one teaching college english at Cerritos College, the other at a middle school.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with the student population in Southern and Northern California, and students from almost every country on Earth. We focus on providing services to university, college, high school, and middle school students.
