About

I obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science from California Polytechnic University Pomona in 2016, which had heavy emphasis on writing articles and essays, articulating arguments, public speaking, and structuring presentations. I also have 7 years of sales experience. Do you want to get better at public speaking? Want to learn how to properly write an essay or an article? Want to stand out amongst other student's presentations that usually bore their audience? Want to learn how to present your essay with structure that is engaging for your readers? Or would you like to brush up on other school subjects? Either way, I am here to serve you, I am here for your school needs and personal development. I would like to mentor you in subjects such as math, english, or social sciences. I am looking to tutor students on weekends or weekday evenings. I like to share my passion and to contribute what I have learned to others. I find it fascinating how fast someone can learn and grow once they discover their own uniqueness. I look forward to being a mentor for students who want to take accountability for their future and they need that extra spark in their life. Let me know how I can serve you and make your school classes more enjoyable. Feel free to send me a request!

I have been a private tutor for a year so far. I love to see people progress. Life is suffering when we feel stuck, there is no doubt about that. Its important for students to take full responsibility for their learning. I value a growth mindset and creating habits for students that serve their highest goals. Its absolutely enjoyable to see how young adults can learn and build self-confidence through creating daily habits that serve them rather than hold them back. I believe I can assist students in creating those rituals and habits that tap into their potential. Students can realize and create their own special reasons why they want to learn, its so important to find drive within themselves rather than just going to school because "parents want me to" or because "its what I am suppose to do", I love to help students break out of this mindset and adopt habits that are more self-driven and self-reliant.

Mike was an awesome English tutor, I used to do weekends with him because I was going to school and working during the day and he was able to fit my schedule to help me work on public presentations for my sociology class. I think what was really amazing for me was his easy going personality and knowledge on the subject, and he makes you feel very safe and makes it fun about learning your own way. I highly recommend him for English! Thanks!

    Frequently asked questions

I believe its crucial to establish a safe learning environment for the student or else naturally their hearts and minds close off, and there is very little learning happening after that.  I make it the highest priority to create a relaxed, fun relationship with students, its important for me to build a high level of trust with my students.  I value listening to student's concerns and understand the importance to validate them.

Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Cal Poly Pomona.  I have a year of private tutoring experience with young adults 10-18 years old.

I have worked with many students from high school to 1st graders, and even students who are learning english as their second language.  I will work with anyone willing to keep an open mind and a student mentality.

Its so important that you feel comfortable with the tutor.  And it could mean to ask yourself what kind of personality would you fit with?  Be specific when imagining the future you want.  Its very important to ask yourself why am I learning anyway?  Are your parents pressuring you?  Are you doing it for other people, or yourself?  Are you driven by other people's opinions?  See if you can find your own reasons, not your parents' reasons, that drive you to want more out of your classes.  It's your life, your classes, your learning, your future, we don't live life for other's, so ask yourself what do you want from life, and why do you want it?
