About
As a current college student majoring in actuarial science (basically just a lot of math and stats) with 10+ years of tutoring experience, I have taught all levels of math up to Calculus including SAT or ACT Math, AP Physics, and Korean. I've tutored 30+ students in both private and classroom settings, and have taught some students for over 3 years. Having competed in American Math Competition and the American Invitational Mathematics Examination, I know a lot of shortcuts that will speed up problem solving as well as give new perspectives on ways to solve problems. I've been told from students, parents, and my own peers that I match the student's preferences very well and make examples relatable, therefore making the information easier to consume and retain. I highly encourage parental feedback and update them with progress checks. I can be strict if that is the push you need or I can be understanding if you need a little more help. I will match your preferences. For example, I can give or not give homework, help with school homework, help with the current or preemptively study future chapters, or make practice questions. I prefer to teach in person for at least the first couple weeks in order to meet and really understand each student's strengths and weaknesses and their study habits. If the student is well behaved and disciplined, we can move the classes online to save both time and gas making it cheaper for both you and me. Price is subject to change according to how long each session is and how far the drive is.
