My passions include, not only teaching a subject in a thorough and robust way, I try (and usually succeed) to instill a sense of confidence and enthusiasm in the student.

I graduated with a Math/Statistics major from Washington University in St. Louis. I was a Health Insurance Actuary for over 30 years when I decided to abandon the corporate culture. Tutoring provides me such personal rewards I never experienced working as an actuary.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I will meet you at your home, or a nearby library, coffeeshop, or any other appropriate location. I charge $50 per hour face-time, with 90 minute minimum sessions. I do not charge an additional fee for travel time or expenses.
For established students, I will provide a written answer for a question or two as necessary, between (at least) weekly sessions.
My schedule can get full. This is my intent, as I do this for a living. But I will make every effort to accommodate you at your desired time. Late cancellations impact both me, and the students who are disadvantaged by not being able to book a session at that time. As such, I require 24 hours notice for a cancellation.
