What is your typical process for working with a new student?
There is no typical process as no two people are alike. Tutoring is an individual process and each person will have different needs that I can, and will work with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential for grades pre K- 12. TESOL certified from UC Irvine for teaching English to Adults.
How did you get started teaching?
I started working as a teacher's assistant at age 18. There I learned the responsibilities of a full day classroom teacher and continued with my schooling to have a classroom of my own. I graduated in 1993 and then pursued a teaching credential that was completed in 1995. I have been loving the job ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, as well as Adults. Most of my work has been with Elementary School students, but I am just as comfortable working with adults. The rules of the English language don't change with age.
