About

As a certified math teacher with a degree in Mathematics, I have been working with students for years both in the classroom and one-on-one in a tutoring capacity and bring all that experience to you.

I've been a fan of math since I can remember but I've always known that that wasn't a common feeling. I've spent most of my life working to get others to enjoy and appreciate math as much as I do. I love helping others realize their potential in such an amazing, logical and analytical area.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to know what subject or area of study they need help in, whether they have a textbook they are already using and their general feeling about math. Then we can discuss what they would prefer: help with homework or specific assignments or an extra teaching session where we cover new or previous topics in more of a lesson or review format. I can work as a teacher with them or more as a guide and helper.

I have a BS in Mathematics and am a credentialed teacher for all levels of math. I also have years of experience tutoring from middle school up through college level courses.

I usually charge $65/hour for middle school level courses, $75/hour for high school level courses and $100/hour for college-level courses. If you have any questions or concerns about the price please let me know.

I have loved teaching since I was a young kid. I liked being able to help my friends understand concepts and feel better about their abilities. So I took that with me all through school and into college where I got my degree and credential in it.

I have taught middle school and high school. I have also had tutees in those levels as well as at the college level.

You want to make sure they understand the standards and curriculum that you are trying master. You want to make sure that their style works with you and that you can feel confident in their abilities but also feel comfortable asking them questions. The most important thing though is probably that it is someone who will help you learn, not just complete assignments because they will not be there with you in class or on tests.

When are you able to learn best?

Do you like to see more examples or do like to have concepts explained for you?

Do you use a textbook and do you know how to effectively use that textbook?
