PLEASE MESSAGE ME VIA FACEBOOK OR TEXT!!! I am a third-year Humanities major at SDSU. am passionate about writing and want to pursue a career in academia. I have 5+ years of experience in creative, expository, persuasive, and argumentative writing. I have helped family friends and classmates with essays in the past, and have formal training as an editor. I have taken many essay and writing-based classes here at SDSU, so I am confident in my abilities to tutor. I also have my own resources I use to make sure that I can perform to the best of my abilities.
As someone who wants to pursue a career as a professor (or something similar), it excites me to guide students. I want people to have the same passion for learning that I do, especially since I've had a complicated relationship with school. I want to be able to help people feel confident in their own intelligence and academic strengths.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to spend some time getting to know the student before we dive into the project at hand. I ask them about their strengths in the course and what they like about it before getting into what they need help with. I try my best to utilize their strong points when going through a project.
