About
I am a recent graduate from Cypress College, where I studied Elementary Spanish with a focus on Spanish Language Arts. I work with college students, including those with IDD or special needs, as well as students who may struggle with focus or studying.
During my training, I worked with a variety of students and also volunteered with individuals with special needs in summer 2021. I bring that same supportive, patient, and encouraging energy into every session. My goal is not just improvement; it is helping students feel more confident and motivated to learn.
I have been tutoring Spanish for about two years, mainly supporting students in Spanish 1 through 4. I have completed advanced Spanish coursework and have experience working one-on-one and in small groups. Whether it is homework, test preparation, or strengthening speaking and writing skills, I adapt each session to fit the student’s learning style and pace.
One of my favorite parts of tutoring is seeing when everything finally clicks. Watching a student go from feeling stuck to confidently forming sentences or having conversations is incredibly rewarding. I keep sessions interactive and low-pressure so learning feels approachable, not overwhelming.
My approach is simple and personalized. I break down concepts step by step, use real-life examples, and include conversation practice to build confidence. I also focus on pronunciation, listening skills, and practical strategies students can use in class. Overall, I aim to make Spanish easier to understand, and something students can actually enjoy.
