About

I am super excited when my students got accepted to Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Cruz. My students all became more successful than myself. Two of my students became interns at Amazon as computer programmers from UC Berkeley and UC Irvine. One former high school student who got an F in calculus later on got an A in calculus in the next year with my help. She managed to graduate form UC Santa Barbara finally. My students all made me very proud after my help. I have some students who just want to graduate from a community college as well. I have tutored children in the ages of 10 some C programming before they were beginning to learn to type. I have taught some students at the ages of 5 on how to type when I was an instructor in a church summer academy.

I love teaching because I am teaching my students to think and solve problems. My students became successful. Teaching is an art. It is like playing the violin. I want my students to be super excited about learning as much as I can. I want to motivate my students as well. I teach them some soft skills essential for job interviews as well outside of my tutoring hours. I do counsel them to find jobs. When you are an engineer, you need to invent a product to keep a job. Without invention, your employer may not want to keep you. I teach how to solve some problems ways on how to think about invention in terms of patent publications. When I tutor, I want them to solve problems quickly, but in a way to help them invent in terms of patent publications.

    Frequently asked questions

SIMPLE is BEST. KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid. If you teach simple concepts, your students will solve the problems very quickly. When I teach calculus, for example, I would teach both geometry and algebra. I will try more than one method to solve the same problem. However, doing math is like playing the violin. Every student should develop their own method to solve problems. I do not want to insist my students to solve their math or physics problems my way as long as the students can get the answer right. I would teach the four easiest numbers. They are "1, 0, -1, and 10." "-1" is a tricky number, and I have a very unique way to teach "-1" in a very easy fashion so that they can understand what "-1" really means. I would teach "-1" through symmetry and reflection. If a tutor does not know what is symmetry, that is ONE letter grade penalty in college. Knowing symmetry is the difference between an "A" and "B" in college.

I graduated from UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and the University of Southern California. I majored in math, physics, materials science, and electrical engineering. Materials Science is similar to chemistry. I have some e-mail addresses. They are:

I worked at the Samsung company as an engineer for 7.5 years in the PCB business. I am teaching my 6 and 7 years old kids some PCB analog IC design. You can watch some YouTube presentation on how I teach my kids.

I usually charge precalculus and calculus around $50 per hour. Lower level math, I do charge a lower fee. I do teach algebra I for $25 per hour. Physics and chemistry, I do charge a higher fee.

I started tutoring when I was in college and after I have retired from my former job at the Samsung company.

I did work with children, junior high school, high school, and college students. I have consulted other adults as an engineer consultant as well for competitive motorcycling. I did consult for MLCC.

I will be teaching a homeschooling class of students on how to build a radio in a park. I may have my 7 year old teacher as my Teacher's Assistant as well.

You need to hire a tutor who can help you solve problems quickly and SIMPLY. SIMPLE is BEST. KISS - KEEP IT SIMPLE SILLY/STUPID. If your answers look complicated during exam time, you probably solve it wrong.

When I teach, I want to teach them to solve problems QUICKLY. Also, I want to teach how to INVENT a product as they solve problems in terms of patent publications to keep their jobs. Of course, not all of my students want to be an engineer. I have ways to teach how to sell and present themselves for business majors as well. Solving problems is like playing the violin. I do not want to insist my way to solve problems. I want my students to use their techniques to solve problems where they feel comfortable. I want to teach both GEOMETRY (drawing) and ALGEBRA approaches to solve problems.
