What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I first meet with the tutoree in a casual setting, if applicable, to understand what their (or their families) goals are for tutoring.
Then, we would move onto an observation- for an older student that may mean responding to a writing or reading sample, for a younger student that might look like how they interact with the print in their environment.
The information gathered will allow for a curriculum to be built around a student's strengths and needs.

Bay Path University: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, licensed teacher in the state of Massachusetts, graduated with the highest honors, tutor for peers in university
