Kevin was extremely helpful and very informative. Loved working with him and learned a ton. I dont think I could have gotten through Calculus without him.

I worked with Kevin for multiple years throughout high school. He was more like a mentor than a tutor, helping you develop your mathematical knowledge. Kevin always comes with a smile on his face and is excited to practice and expand upon his math skills with you.
What’s fantastic about his teaching style is that he won’t do your homework for you, but will guide you through all of the challenges you have, so you are able to complete it on your own. The same goes for exams, he will create questions that will challenge you, so when the time comes to take your exam, you are more than ready for it.
Kevin helped me from algebra through AP calculus, and I would recommend him to everyone.

There are three main things I valued the most from Kevins tutoring. First, he was always very patient and willing to think of many different ways to explain things to me. Additionally, Kevin went above and beyond many times by asking ahead of our tutoring session what my lesson was on so he could do prepare and review the material to ensure he could be the best help to me. Lastly, Kevin was great at being flexible with meeting times and communicating effectively over text and email so that we were constantly on the same page. Kevin was the best tutor I have ever had and singlehandedly improved my grade from a D to a B+ in one semester!

Kevin is brilliant and has a gift for sharing his knowledge. In addition, he is extremely reliable and professional. My daughter had an easy, comfortable rapport with Kevin and enjoyed her sessions tremendously. Kevin assisted my daughter with ACT prep after her first attempt. In just a few sessions, she raised her score significantly. I couldn’t recommend him more highly!

Kevin was an incredible tutor and helped me in multiple tough and detailed math courses. He is extremely intelligent guy and an excellent teacher- he knows when and how to challenge you in a way that you really learn the material. Kevin was always flexible with timings and was always there, whether online or on person. I would highly recommend him to anyone. 10/10

    Frequently asked questions

I like to see what the student knows before jumping in to help. It is incredibly important to build confidence in a student so they can arrive at a solution on their own.

I have tutored high school mathematics for over 4 years and have a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from UCSB.

    I charge $75/hour.

I wanted to help students find their love for mathematics! I think math and problem-solving are fun and rewarding and I think everyone can learn a lot from it.

I have worked with students from 9th-12th grade. From students that were failing their class to students that need extra help with AP Calculus.

It is important to point out where you are having trouble. Perhaps you know what the question is asking and know the equations to use but don't know how to apply them. In this situation, saying "I don't know where to start" can make it harder for your tutor to understand what you already know.
