About
I love to see the "light" click on for my students. Another favorite experience of mine is to see their smiles when they start to gain a love of learning. The beginning of my tutoring experience was in college. Working at a company that provided K-12 students common core math and language arts in their homes through the district. I did this for over four years off and on. Additionally, I started tutoring on my own for two years for K - 12. Currently, I am a graduate student in biology with an emphasis in education and studying to take the exam to become a substitute teacher. My undergraduate degree was in Biological Psychogy, where I graduated with departmental honors and a 3.7.
I just love to learn and teach! My interests are broad and it is amazing to transfer information to the next generation (or other adults). I make personal connections with my students, it fills up my heart to see them grow in their understanding.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first of a student at the main focus is a the assessment process and the building of report in the first day. The student teacher relationship is essential, also it is important to gauge where the student is that in whatever subjects that we are going to be focusing on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My bachelors degree was received from California State University San Bernardino and behavioral neuroscience with a chemistry minor, cum laude(with honors). Currently, I am a graduate students in a program to get my masters of science and biology with an emphasis in education At Grand Canyon University with a 4.0 GPA. Further I worked for a private tutoring company for six years specializing in S families for the districts of Riverside and San Bernardino counties in California. As well as I was a registered behavior technician working with young children with developmental delays ASD disorder, and learning disabilities.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes I do, standard pricing is $25 per hour, if a student books one and a half hours the discount will be $35 dollars. There is one trial a session available, particularly for online students for $15 dollars. Other possible discounts available or multiple student from the same family, pre-paying for a certain amount of sessions in advance, or committing to taking 3 two hour sessions per week.
How did you get started teaching?
My mother started an in-home daycare in my house when I was born in 1988. I started working for her in the summers when I was younger, and that just started my love of teaching. I was teaching younger children how to do you things I knew how to do like jump rope, draw, or go on the swing- anything and I just loved it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages from infant to adults. Further, I work with neurodivergent clients, such as those on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, anxiety, and other things of that nature. Since I myself have ADHD since I was a child and anxiety I am able to relate to these students like others cannot. Which makes them feel very comfortable, which is conducive to learning.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Since I have a broad range of expertise I would say to ensure that whoever you are going to hire is invested in you from the very beginning. I believe it's easy to tell, because for me hi hit the ground running with all of my students. I have them text, email, message call or anything anytime of day with their assignments, and I'll ensure that I know what needs to be done to help this person succeed. Further, be careful with instructors or tutors that seem to be not interested in your input, seemed to feel as if they know it all, does not encourage you to ask questions, it's not available for you at all outside at session. Not even by email at any time. You to ask yourself, is this really the kind of instructor that's gonna care to get me where I need to go to be successful. Or are they in it for a different reason.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I just want that every single person to know that teachers are people too and we are always learning. None of us know everything, and there's no such thing as a stupid question. Just ask, do not be scared, because in my case I am so involved with my students and invested in them that I want to know everything. What you want and how you feel about your tutoring experience even if you're a child. We are all people, and we all have a voice and even if you're five or 500 use your voice to get what you need.
