Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Working with a new student, I start by understanding their learning style and objectives for the course, then I teach according to whatever style that suits them and select topics that are fundamental and critical for the course.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have +500 hours of private tutoring and can guarantee satisfaction, as I have never had an unsatisfied client. I have also taken 19 Advanced Placement tests and am a Computer Science and Mathematics-Economics undergraduate major. I can ensure quality and effective tutoring that goes beyond the knowledge required for the courses.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing system depends on the difficulty of the course that has been requested for tutoring. There are no other factors that I consider for pricing. The pricing is the same regardless of distance/time scheduled.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching because I love to assist others, especially in the academic topics I like. By helping others progress academically and professionally, it brings me joy to be able to contribute to the growth of others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I generally tutor highschool/college undergraduate students, however I can adapt my tutoring techniques to any type of student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before talking to mentors for help, it is important to know what subject you require help in and what your goals for that subject are, as it will tremendously assist mentors in planning and adapting their tutoring.
