Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I request the student to email me. During which the student provides me with the material he/she is currently struggling with. The student may send examples problems or homework problems. Once I review this information, I am aware of the material and can better orient the student to better understand the concept.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started tutoring at San Jose City College. I worked along side of the instructor to better assist the student during class and additional sessions held. In addition I volunteered at a high school and helped student after school with a group of about 5 students. Shortly after, I received my Bachelors degree in applied mathematics I began tutoring privately by referral. I arrange sessions after 5pm at the student's home.
