I try to relate to the student as best as possible. Try and not make it seem like another teacher-student relationship to demean the student's performance.
I want to give back to the environment that I work in. I believe teaching someone something new can have rippling effects in their lives that are unparalleled and quite frankly intangible that will last a lifetime.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually like to understand what the student is lacking or is missing with their class work, and then evaluate the best strategy to teach them how to proceed with the easiest tasks first, in order to gain momentum and knowledge to take down seemingly harder tasks quicker and efficiceintly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with a non-profit organization for years during my adolescence that helped domestic violence victims enrich their lives by completing remedial programs and/or GED test preps, as well as, recently working with a company in providing studying help and test-taking services to middle and high school students. Also have worked privately with families.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Usually I will start at $15/hr per student. If multiple students (2 or more) for the same family, I will charge $20-25 per group, depending on size and work load.
Essay Reviewing -$25 per essay.
Essay Writing -$40 per essay.
All other services can be negotiated based on level of work.
