Make sure he or she is a credentialed math teacher and has experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should know what curriculum or math book they are using in their class. They should also know what unit and what test is coming up and what concepts they need to master before taking the test. They should also ask themselves what grade they have in the class what is the best course of action to put themselves in the best position to succed. I've done this thousands of times and faster I know what they need to do to boost up their grade and what assignments to do or what test they need to take the easier it is for the both of us.
