Fostering Love For Mathematics
About
I have been a working in the Boston Public Schools for the previous five years, so I have experience teaching mathematics in an urban setting. Since many of my students struggle with math and/or have gaps in their knowledge, I have been able to help them grow as a math student and feel more confident in their ability to do math.
I love working with children, from elementary school to high school. One of the best feelings is helping someone with a concept or skill and seeing the lightbulb go off in his/her head, knowing that you have just helped that person make a valuable connection in learning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get a grasp of the strengths and weaknesses of a student. There are multiple ways to represent mathematical thinking, so I like to build on what a student is confident in in order to make connections.
