About

I am a jack of all trades! Having taken 13 Advanced Placement courses in high school, I have a mastery of many topics ranging across Math to Spanish language. I have a Neuroscience degree from Northwestern University and can play 3 instruments. I've been tutoring since I was a Freshman in high school, making it almost ten years since I began tutoring.

I love finding the best teaching method for each of my students and seeing them improve as we continue our sessions together.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, I begin by asking what their long term goals for tutoring are (general improvement, passing an exam, etc.). Then, I help devise a goal curriculum with steps, outlining how to get to their goal. Finally, we set up a schedule that is convenient and aligns with the curriculum created.

I have taken about 13 AP courses in High School. I, also, have my Bachelors in Neuroscience from Northwestern University.

Generally, my sessions cost $25-30 an hour. The price varies per student, depending on how many sessions per week they'd like tutoring, how much prep work I have to do for the sessions (creating worksheets, etc.), the distance I have to travel for our sessions, and the level the course I will be teaching is.

I began teaching in high school as a small side job. It has, since, developed into a consistent job I love to do.

I have worked with students in Pre-school through college. I, also, have non traditional students who are learning English and are prepping for exams (SAT, CBEST, ACT).

Recently, I had a student who was having trouble reading. I developed a game to get her interested in pronouncing her phonic sounds. She has, since, enjoyed reading and practicing her vocabulary prononciation.

Try to contact them, through email, text, or a phone call prior to your first meet up so you can ask any relevant questions or concerns you have before you meet.

What is confusing you about the questions you are having trouble on? Is it a lack of general understanding of previous information or is it the new material that's consfusing?
