About

I am a current high school student myself, and I will be able to teach students with newer methods of teaching and update them with the newer curriculum. I enjoy working with kids and love meeting new people every day. I make my lesson plans customized to each student so that we can focus on what they could improve on, so they have a strong foundation in many subjects. I have tutored students for free in my community for service learning hours, and it was a great way to give back to the community while interacting with kids as well.

I enjoy how I can explain new concepts to kids, and help them understand new things as well. It makes me happy when my students are interested in learning more and more, and not just learning to get a good grade. Seeing them succeed with my help is also something that makes me enjoy tutoring.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, I start off by giving them a basic writing prompt/mini-assessment to see what they have learned so far. Then, I go over certain ways that they can improve their writing to make it more sophisticated and academic. For mathematics, I will find out about what they need to improve on from their mini-assessment, and I will base my teaching plans upon that. I will also ask the parents if there are any specific topics that they would like me to cover with their kids.

I am a sophomore in high school, and I have had almost all A's in English and all A's in math(up to Algebra 1) and have completed Spanish Levels 1-3, and am finishing up AP Spanish Language and Culture. My teachers have described me as a hardworking and patient student, and commend me on my work. I have tutored several students in Writing, Grammar, Math, and Biology for service learning hours, and have received positive feedback from all of my students. I have a PSAT score of 1330/1520 and am currently studying for my SAT.

I base my pricing on the difficulty of the content, and the grade levels as well. With higher grade levels, the content is more intricate and takes more effort to teach and explain; therefore, higher grade levels will be charged with a slightly higher price. I accept payment by Venmo/Paypal, or by cash mailed to me personally.

I started teaching by tutoring for volunteer hours, and I eventually made my own mini-curriculum for teaching these subjects.

I have worked with many students, mostly those who need improvement in writing and editing essays. Most of my students are elementary school students, but I have experienced helping out middle school students for high school classes as well.

A recent event that I was fond of is my vacation to Maui. I got to see the beautiful sunset by many different beaches, got to eat many local delicacies, and learned a lot about the island in general. It was a memorable experience, and I would definitely go back there again.

I would advise them to pick a tutor who is willing to give them personalized feedback, and to see if the tutor can explain new concepts to them in a way that they will be able to comprehend.
