The Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) is a cognitive training center that incorporates the neurodevelopmental underlying cognitive processes in accessing higher learning in academic content area learning. Processing speed, memory, working memory, auditory and visual processing are all necessary for efficient learning. Our staff are trained in identifying what processing area is weak or needs to be used in various areas of learning.

We aren't just a cognitive training center, we also provide tutoring incorporating many of the cognitive training methods to make tutoring more efficient and effective.

I think you should visit www.therapeuticlearning.com/about and watch the video of my team talk about why they love the work they do! I love this work because I get to see lives changing every day. I hear from families that their children are happy, confident and independent after their work with us!

Our daughter LOVES TLC, and has from her very first session! She absolutely looks forward to each and every session, even getting up early on Saturday mornings, without complaint and eager to go for two hours. Her favorite thing about TLC is the clinicians, and although she is most fond of one in-particular, shes happy to work with everyone. Paisleys favorite activity at TLC is AMPS because it feels like games, even though I know it isnt, and it helps me with my response speed. From a parents perspective, its wonderful to see that my child is happy to be participating in this therapy. Paisleys ability to sound out and spell words was so difficult before TLC that she would fight tooth-and-nail to avoid writing, but now she willingly writes and types her homework assignments, and is improving in her ability to spell words that she wouldnt even attempt before. Most importantly, shes able to get her thoughts out on paper without the agony she used to experience while trying to express herself. Her confidence has increased, she tries when she used to give up, and shes having successes in learning that we feared she might never experience - like getting 100% on a Math quiz last week - Hooray! We couldnt feel more blessed and grateful to have found TLC!

My son has become excited to learn and does his homework almost completely by himself now. The best part is that he loves coming! He loves his clinician and I appreciate the regular communication. I highly recommend the Therapeutic Learning Center.

    Frequently asked questions

We hold an initial free consultation to discover youe goals and develop a plan. Sometimes it’s important to give an initial evaluation in order to accelerate the growth.

Together we develop a plan, goals, timeline and schedule for success. Each student is individual so we develop plans of action/therapy based on a student’s areas of processing strengths and need.

I have 30+ years in education at all levels. I've hired a staff of highly trained learning specialists to combine tutoring with cognitive training so that the need for tutoring decreases significantly over time.  Does your child struggle in school?  It doesn't have to be a permanent condition!

We have a range of pricing which can be reduced with increased number of hours in a "package" of sorts.  Tell us you come from Tutors.com and we offer you a special.
